One of the oldest live charity marathons is back in service. The Desert Bus of Hope, during which guests take turns at the controls of a bus that goes straight ahead, is already preparing to launch its 2023 edition with a Warm Up full of surprises!
Desert Bus of Hope: virtual kilometers for a good cause
The Desert Bus of Hope is the French version of the Desert Bus of Hope, the oldest charity marathon broadcast live on the Internet. It’s not difficult, this is the first. The concept ? Raise funds for an association, by inviting personalities from all walks of life to play a SEGA CD game which consists in taking control of a virtual bus which rolls straight. Since then, the event has continued to grow, still organized in France by Loisirs Numériques for the benefit of the Petits Princes association.
Of course, the game itself isn’t very thrilling and isn’t only a pretext to gather, exchange, inform, and invite spectators to participate at the cannon. The last edition, which took place in 2021, raised no less than €70,559, offering the association the possibility of realizing the dream of many sick children. After a year of hiatus, The Desert Bus of Hope will be back in force February 10-12 on Twitchbut you can participate today !
A Warm Up to celebrate 10 years and launch the 2023 edition!
To celebrate the 10th anniversary of the event, and provide a springboard for this 2023 edition sponsored by Brigitte Lecordier and Many LevyLoisirs Numériques decided to start the operation today with a Warm Up ! Until February 325 streamers and streamause will take turns dedicating two hours each in the game. Spectators can already make donations, attend challenges, discover things through anecdotes, and even win games as well as a Nintendo Switch OLED through a lottery.
As for the “classic” event, it will start on February 10 as planned, and can count on the presence of the trio LEJ, Dina, ALT 236 or Charlie Danger. The symbolic stake is high, since beyond the amount collected during the Desert Bus of Hope, 2023 should be the year when the Petits Prince association will realize the 9000th dream of its history!
