The government of Omar Perotti, through the Ministry of Infrastructure, Public Services and Habitat, will tender on Tuesday, May 9, the basic sewage infrastructure work for the Regional Hospital South of Rosario. The event will take place in the Rodolfo Walsh room, San Lorenzo 1949, in that city.

The works will allow them to have sewer service in the future more than 34,000 residents from the neighborhoods Tío Rolo, Puente Gallegos, 17 de Agosto, Las Flores Este, Irigoyen, Las Flores Sur, San Martín Southeast and Southwest.

In this regard, the Minister of Infrastructure, Public Services and Habitat, Silvina Frana, stressed that “this is part of the announcements made by Governor Omar Perotti and constitutes a joint task that we developed together with Dipai, the company Aguas Santafesinas SA (Assa ), the Ministry of Health, the municipality of Rosario, deputies, senators, councilors, without political distinctions, with an eye on improving sanitation conditions of more than 34,000 residents”.

“The work of this effector was always on the agenda and it was even thought of as an alternative to be able to have it running in times of pandemic. But when we arrived at the place we found a structure without a floor or internal architecture and most importantly, without sewers. Now we have the specifications to bid for the work and take the first step to put it into operation”, the minister completed.

Bring essential service to neighborhoods

For his part, the president of Assa, Hugo Morzán, highlighted the fact that “we can count on basic infrastructure works to bring this essential service to neighborhoods that have been neglected for so many years. The future arrival of sewage networks implies a better quality of life, that blind wells can be blocked and not draining them because they fill up”.

The joint project of the company Assa and a private consultancy has an execution period of 240 days and includes the construction of a general collector pipe of 1,643 meters, a pumping and impulsion station, which will be located to the south of the Hospital premises, with final capacity to receive and drive the effluents of the eight mentioned neighborhoods plus those of the health effector.

The profile of the hospital will be that of a highly complex, tertiary, polyvalent effector, with a rehabilitation service for adults and the pediatric population.
