A team of students from the Faculty of Law of the University of Buenos Aires (UBA) won the 18th edition of the Concours d’Arbitrage International in Paris, on arbitration, after beating the host country’s University of Versailles in the final. Thus, it became the only American house of higher studies that achieved the important distinction in a total of three opportunities.

Josefina Pagani, Anabella Macarri, Ramiro Cedarri and Ramiro Soules were the four young Argentines and students of the UBA Law School who represented the country in the old continent. On the other hand, this is the third time that the renowned university of the federal capital obtains the first place in the international arbitration contest, repeating the achievements of the years 2018 and 2020.

The academic event is held entirely in French and this edition brought together a total of 65 universities from four continents, representing 22 nationalities, as well as professors, lawyers and arbitration experts from around the world. Since the sixth edition that took place in 2010 and 2011, the UBA Law School has participated in the contest.

This is the third time that the UBA Law School has won the Concours d’Arbitrage International in Paris.

Pepe Mujica will give a lecture at the Law School of the UBA

The former president and former vice president of the neighboring country of Uruguay, José Pepe Mujica and Lucía Topolansky, will give a conference on “The challenges of Latin American integration” at the Law School of the University of Buenos Aires, next Monday, May 15, at 7:00 p.m. in the Assembly Hall of the prestigious academic venue located on Avenida Figueroa Alcorta, in the federal capital.

The presentation of both is part of the launch of the Training School for Latin American Integration (EFIL), promoted by the José G. Artigas Free Chair of the National University of La Plata and will be attended by students, teachers, leaders of social and political movements in general.
