The Fantastic 4 seem to be taking a new step with the development of a cast according to several sources. Including an ex-Jedi.

For the moment the cast of the next film Fantastic Four at Marvel within the MCU is still very mysterious and not much is known about it. What is certain is that since Disney acquired 20th Century Fox, Marvel fans have dreamed of superheroes being introduced into the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). Scheduled for 2024, this film should launch Phase VI of the Marvel Universe, the very one that should end with the highly anticipated Avengers: Secret Wars. But in the meantime, who will be in the cast?

Currently in the pre-production phase, the film would obviously be in its casting phase. According to several reports, actor Adam Driver is in the running for the role of Reed Richards. This is in any case what seems to confirm the always very informed newspaper The Direct. Note that this is not the first time that we have seen this information since insider Jeff Sneider shared this possibility during the The Hot Mic podcast that Driver is in the lead to play the role. The Direct’s own sources in their report note that Driver is “Marvel Studios’ top casting choice to play the new Reed Richards“.

Meanwhile, actor Austin Butler, who starred in the biopic Elvis, would also be cast to play the role of the Torch. In short, it is starting to become clearer. And of course we hope for an official confirmation in the coming weeks. At least Adam Driver is a regular in Disney productions after his role as Kylo Ren in the films of the series Star Wars.

What do you think of the potential presence of these two actors in the film The Fantastic 4? Is this a good choice in your opinion?
