It’s been a long and arduous journey for Andy Muschietti’s superhero movie, and many of us have wondered exactly how much the protracted production actually cost Warner. Something we now found out about was a new roof interview with one of the film’s creators where it was announced that the total bill for The Flash has landed a bit north of SEK 2.2 billion. No small change indeed and it makes the project one of the most expensive ever in DC history, only six other DCU movies have cost Warner more to produce. Man of Steel, The Dark Knight Rises, Black Adam, Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice and last but not least Justice League, which is one of the most expensive film productions ever.

The musty price tag notwithstanding, it is very much indicative that The Flash will be a success for Warner and DC with many praising what they have seen of the film and even claiming that it is one of the best superhero films ever. The Flash premieres on June 16th, and we’re of course incredibly curious to see if all the positive advance talk is actually true.

What is your gut feeling about The Flash, does it have the potential to be as good as many claim?

Expensive and bombastic, now it’s time to run away!
