In the last session of the year, The councilors of Juntos and the Frente de Todos de La Plata left the crack aside for a while to agree on the recognition of the four people from La Plata who made up the Argentine National Team that won the World Champion in Qatar on Sunday.
The councilors jointly dealt with two separate decrees to express the approval of the body for the participation of the players Juan Foyth and Gerónimo Rulli and the physical trainers, Luis Oscar Martin and Rodrigo Barrios, all born and educated in the Buenos Aires capital. The four were declared illustrious citizens by Mayor Julio Garro, hours after obtaining the third world title.
The councilor of the Frente de Todos, Ana Negrete, spoke for his block. “It is important that we celebrate those who are from our city. On Sunday we had one of the most important shared happiness of our lives and that was done by this collective sport that has those values of friendship and camaraderie that we like to highlight.”
“We want to tell these people from La Plata who lifted the Cup that they make us very proud and that they represent the values we have as a society,” Negrete added.
For Juntos, the one who paid homage to the champions was the mayor Belen Munoz. “They fill us with pride and teach us many things, but above all the importance of teamwork and that only in this way can great achievements be achieved and they demonstrated it every day they went out on the field,” he said.
“Beyond the pride that we pinchas have, that the pincha school brings out great champions, it is a beautiful example for all the kids who grow up in the neighborhood, who many times without having great opportunities, leave everything on the field and end up being international stars. They manage to fulfill their dreams,” he added.
