Netflix does not win for displeasure with the The Witcher series. The adaptation of the works of Andrzej Sapkowski is living its third season on the streaming platform, specifically the second batch of episodes that show the goodbye of Henry Cavill as Geralt of Rivia.
The actor says goodbye after disagreements with the direction of the program and will be replaced by Liam Hemsworth in season 4… or at least that’s the theory. This situation leads to consider a worse scenario for The Witcher. He viewership decline in season 3 has been notorious and Netflix is an expert in cancel shows after having renewed them. If the strike goes on too long and a date is not set on the calendar, the company may start to review its plans for the future and reconsider whether it is worth going ahead with the project. If the green light is maintained, until 2025 we will not see the result on the screen with Hemsworth starring in it.
