Estudiantes de La Plata defeated Curicó Unido de Chile 1-0 with a goal from Mauro Boselli in the second friendly of the plate team under the technical direction of Abel Balbowhile in the second game the victory was 2-0 with goals from Pablo Piatti and Mauro Mendez.
Balbo’s ensemble formed with Mariano Andujar; Leonardo Godoy, Luciano Lollo, Zaid Romero and Emmanuel Más; Jorge Rodriguez; Benjamin Rollheiser, José Sosa (Fernando Zuqui) and Franco Zapiola (Pablo Piatti); Mateo Pellegrino and Mauro Boselli. The trans-Andean enlisted Santelices; Barrios, Bechtholdt, Lara, De la Fuente; Nadruz, Sandoval, Ortiz; Castro, Vergara and Coelho.
Two 50-minute games were played. In the first there was a goal disallowed by Boselli due to an advanced position, while the striker himself scored minutes later by taking advantage of a rebound given by the goalkeeper after a good play by Más.
Pincha dominated with good pressure and a good job in the middle of the field but could not extend the advantage. Balbo used a 4-1-3-2 and had no defensive risks.
In the second game, Estudiantes stopped with Daniel Sappa (Fabricio Iacovich); Eros Mancuso, Juan Cruz Guasone, Ezequiel Muñóz (Santiago Núñez) and Gastón Benedetti; Gonzalo Pineiro (Bautista Kociubinski); Brian Orosco (Deian Verón), Zuqui and Piatti (Nicolás Palavecino); Matías Godoy (Agustín Palavecino) and Mauro Méndez. The visiting cast formed with Santelices; Barrera, Ormazábal, Munoz, Cabrera; Urzúa, Albornoz, Leiva; Fritz, Flores and Figueroa.
The La Plata team was superior and scored a goal in each half through Piatti and Méndez. The difference could be bigger but it lacked fairness to define.
El Pincha had already played and won friendlies with Los Andes before the end of the year. The next steps are taken by training on Monday and in the afternoon they will travel to Uruguay to play two friendlies with Peñarol and Atlético Tucumán.
