New York.- New York is celebrating.

The Knicks managed to win a playoff series for the first time in 10 years.

The New Yorkers went to Cleveland to defeat them 106-95, and thus take the first round series 4-1.

The Knicks were the fifth seed in the East and eliminated the fourth seed, the Cavs.

Now, they’ve made it to the Eastern Conference Semifinals for the first time since the 2012-13 season.

In that campaign, they first eliminated Boston 4-2, and then fell 4-2 to the Indiana Pacers.

The Knicks now await the winner of the series between Heat and Bucks. Milkwaukee faces Miami on Wednesday and is down 3-1.

The Bucks seek to extend the series, something that would suit the Knicks, since their star Julius Randle injured his ankle tonight and did not return to the court.
