In the past, series and films about video games were unfortunately not that good in most cases. It’s only been a few years that gamers can really show a little optimism when their favorite game series gets such an adaptation. One example is the upcoming The Last of Us series, about which Naughty Dogs interviewed Neil Druckmann The Hollywood Reporter gave.
Will there be a The Last of Us Part 3?
It’s of course very interesting to read Druckmann’s insights into video game adaptations, but it seems the developer has also made a small aside about the future of The Last of Us as a game. “I think there’s more story to tell,” he told The Hollywood Reporter, which of course has fans hoping for The Last of Us Part 3. In fact, this isn’t the first time Druckmann has talked about a possible third installment in the series, it’s supposed to be provide a story draft for the third The Last of Us game.
There are already some rumors about The Last of Us Part 3. In December last year, for example, it was said that the title with Neil Druckmann at the helm should be in the works. Interestingly Druckmann warned his fans on Twitter, to be wary of “insider” information, as much of it is just plain wrong. It is possible that Druckmann was referring to these recent rumours.
The only thing that is certain at this point in time is that Naughty Dog has not yet made any official announcement about a third part of The Last of Us. However, a standalone multiplayer project for The Last of Us is currently in the works, and Naughty Dog recently released a remake of The Last of Us Part 1, which is due out for PC in March this year.
