The Last of Us series has sold over 37 million copies

Game studio Naughty Dog has revealed that by December 2022, The Last of Us series has sold over 37 million copies. All three games have sold incredibly well, but it remains the first original game to sell the most copies since its release in the summer of 2013 for the Playstation 3. In its first year, it sold 6 million copies, and before the sequel was released in 2018, they could show numbers of a whopping 18 million with both the Playstation 3 and the remake that was made for the Playstation 4. The Last of Us Part 2 had reached sales of 10 million copies when they last measured in June 2022, but unfortunately there are no real figures how the sales of The Last of Us Part 1 which was released for Playstation 5 but according to Naughty Dog it has been a success whatever that means. In any case, we can agree that these magnificent games have sold good numbers and there will be more in view of the TV series that starts airing on January 15th on HBO.
