The Cuban boxer Yordenis Ugás came out in defense of the former US president Donald Trumpafter knowing the court verdict that found him guilty of 34 crimes.
The boxer shared a text on his profile Facebook in which he states that the legal process against Trump was politicized and that its result is breaking the history of the United States.
“This is something absurd, they are minor crimes, which turned it into a felony. And the prosecutor in the case campaigned promising that he would send Trump to prison. Now everyone is waiting for July 11 to see if Judge Merchant will have the value of sending him to prison. In any case, this will take an appeal and all this will be after the elections,” he said.
“Donald Trump is going to win an easy election in November. They have made him a victimbecause the majority thinks that this is a process that has been politicized,” he stressed.
In Ugás’ opinion, Trump is just a married man who is protecting his family from a mistake.
“We have a country so divided scary. The United States is an example for the world and with these things the enemies are celebrating,” she concluded.
