An extract featuring the bounty hunter Din Djarin with the facetious Grogu, alias “Baby Yoda”, was unveiled this week.

Pending the return on March 1 of The Mandalorian, the third season is revealed in a first extract which was posted online on Thursday. Bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) chats with his ally Greef Karda (Carl Weathers) while Grogu (aka “Baby Yoda”) enjoys himself in the background.

According to the official synopsis for this third season, “The Mandalorian will cross paths with old allies and make new enemies as he pursues with Grogu his trip.” This trip will notably pass through Coruscant, the capital of the Galactic Empire seen in several films of the saga.

The rest of the season, as always, remains mysterious. For now, we only know that Christopher Lloydaka Doc Brown in Back to the future, joined the cast. It should hold many surprises. The second season, over two years ago, featured a young version of Luke Skywalker.

Rachel Morrison (cinematographer of Black Panther), Lee Isaac Chung (minari) and Peter Ramsey (Spider-Man: Next Generation) are among the new directors of this season. Actors Bryce Dallas Howard and Carl Weathers and director Rick Famuyiwa, already at the helm of previous seasons, are back.
