Mexico City.– Colombian singer Karol G swept the 2023 Latin American Music Awards by winning eight awards, including those for the Tour of the Year, Artist of the Year and Song of the Year categories.
This Thursday, the stars of Latin music gathered to celebrate in style at the MGM Grand Arena, where the exponents of the urban genre received various awards for their attributions.
During the ceremony, Karol G surpassed Bad Bunny by winning eight awards for his songs “Provenza” and “Mamiii” with Becky G.
Bad Bunny was the most nominated artist of the night, however, he was left behind and only received three awards.
The ceremony featured various musical numbers in which celebrities such as Danna Paola, Pepe Aguilar, Carlos Vives, Grupo Frontera and Pitbull presented their recent hits live.
Regardless of her absence, Shakira was another of the recognized stars at the Latin AMAs, taking home the award for Best Pop Artist and Best Tropical Collaboration with her song “Monotonía” feat. ozuna.
