The flagship series of Star Wars resumes for a third season, but there is a but. If you haven’t followed another series, The Boba Fett Bookyou may not fully understand what is going on.
March 1. This is the date on which we will find, after two years of absence, The Mandalorian. Season 3 of the series Star Wars was announced in a trailer released on January 17, 2023, and the video hints at plenty of action and twists for these new episodes. But, there is a but. And this “but” contains spoilers. Beware.

But if, like many, The Mandalorian is the only series you’ve followed, one surprising element should jump out at you: the presence of Grogu in the trailer. Indeed, at the end of season 2, we see “baby Yoda” leaving with Luke Skywalker to complete his training and become a Jedi. You’re going to have to watch another series
The presence of “Baby Yoda” in the new season is not an error on the part of the directors, nor an oversight. If we see the heartbreaking goodbye between Grogu and Din Djarin (the real name of the Mandalorian) at the end of season 2, that’s not all that’s going on. The sequel to the adventures of Baby Yoda takes place in The Boba Fett Bookand if you haven’t seen it, you may not understand everything about the plot and its return in the new season of the mandalorian. The Boba Fett Book, broadcast in 2022, follows the adventures of the famous bounty hunter on the planet Tatooine. In the post-credits scene of the last episode of season 2 of The Mandalorian, we also see the mercenaries going to Jabba’s palace in order to seize power. But it’s not really an isolated series: it’s better to see Boba Fett like season 2.5 of The Mandalorian.
In addition to Boba, there are indeed Din Djarin and Grogu. The latter, who began his Jedi apprenticeship with Luke Skywalker, has regrets, and finally chooses to return with the bounty hunter. The last episode of the series shows the reunion of the two characters – which explains why they are together in the trailer for season 3.
The Boba Fett Book did not receive very good reviews and the series is seen as one of the least successful on Star Wars. At Numerama, few of us have gone to the end of the episodes. But, if you want to see Grogu’s adventures and the beginnings of his Jedi training for yourself, or if you don’t have the patience to wait until March 1, then The Boba Fett Book waiting for you.
