Double dose of Pedro Pascal! The former star of Game Of Thrones is currently starring in the series The Last of Us available in US+24 on Prime Video in France and which has been validated by the editorial staff of Télé-Loisirs. But that’s not all since the actor will also return to service in the Mandalorian costume very soon. And it was time since the wait was very long for the fans of the universe Star Wars : season 2 of The Mandalorian aired between October and December 2020 and since then it has been nothing. We will therefore finally be able to discover new episodes which still promise to be visually as crazy. Except that, if you had left Din Djarin and Baby Yoda to the last episode of season 2, the trailer for season 3 of The Mandalorian which has just been put online may seem strange to you. There is a very simple reason for this.

The Season 2 Cliffhanger Resolution The Mandalorian took place in another series Star Wars

In the last episode of season 2 of The Mandalorian, Din Djarin separated from his cute sidekick after crossing paths with a certain Luke Skywalker (Mark Hamill had reprized his role and had been digitally rejuvenated for the occasion). The Jedi explained that the Child must be trained to learn to control the Force, in order to face the many dangers that await him. With a heavy heart, the Mandalorian accepted this separation and let Luke go with the adorable Grogu. Latest news – for those who have only seen The Mandalorian – Grogu should therefore still be with Luke Skywalker, but in fact not.

If we expected to discover the rest of this plot in season 3 of The MandalorianIt’s done in the spin-off The Boba Fett Book (Season 1 was uploaded on Disney+ in late 2021/early 2022) that viewers were able to find out what happened to Grogu. In episodes 5 and 6 of the series, we witnessed part of Grogu’s training with Luke on Ossus, where the Jedi Master would later build his academy as we could discover in the films of the last trilogy. But Luke asked his Padawan to make a decisive choice: stay with him and receive a lightsaber, or find Din Djarin and leave with armor. Grogu chose the second option and was finally reunited with the mandalorian in the last episode of season 1 of the Book by Boba Fett.

To understand everything about season 3 of The Mandalorianbetter to have seen The Boba Fett Book. Because in addition to these reunions, the series also revealed secrets about Grogu’s past, such as the fact that he was present on Coruscant during Order 66 which led to the end of the Jedi Order ( the event is shown in Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith where Anakin kills young Padawans). A big question remains, however: who saved the little being from certain death?

Grogu, the Force and Mandalore in season 3 of The Mandalorian

The answer may well be given in season 3 of The Mandalorian, as a short scene in the trailer hints at a flashback. This first video also shows the evolution of Grogu who masters the Force much better and will use his powers, and tease a return to Mandalore for the hero played by Pedro Pascal. Obviously, new enemies – as well as old allies – will find themselves in their way. Roll on March 1st!
