Marvel Studios fans will have to wait another few months to see it on the big screen The Marvels. Through the release of a new poster, in fact, it was announced that the sequel to Captain Marvel it will no longer be released on July 28, 2023 but on November 10. A postponement of the release date of four months to witness the team up between the heroine played by Brie Larson and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani).

The first footage from the film was shown last September at Disney’s D23 exclusively for the audience. The Marvels will be set immediately after the post-credits scene of Ms. Marvel, series for Disney + with Iman Vellani, which saw the protagonist Kamala Khan switch the features of her with those of Captain Marvel. The sequel will also bring back key characters from the first film including Samuel L. Jackson’s Nick Fury and Teyonah Parris’ Monica Rambeau. The Marvels will be directed by Nia DaCosta who in a past interview explained how the film will address issues of pain and trauma.

The original Captain Marvel, released in theaters in 2019, was a huge success when it hit theaters over two years ago. Directly before the events of Avengers: Endgame, the film told the origin story of its main heroine and was introduced as a human warrior who lives among the Kree and eventually finds her way back to Earth. The film elaborated on the backstory of Carol Danvers’ relationship with Nick Fury (Samuel L. Jackson) and set the stage for many other Captain Marvel-related superheroes that will eventually enter the Marvel Cinematic Universe.
