At the beginning of the episode, there is a pan to the practice of Dr. Martin Gruber. “Temporarily closed” reads the sign. Then you see the “mountain doctor” in a mountain hut, writing, eating soup – and exactly in the look of Sigl’s social media post. In seclusion he has obviously spent the last time.

A little later he stands with a “Well?” at the Gruber farm. “The color of your face is right,” says Hans. “Are outward appearances, brother,” replies Martin. “And inside”?”, he wants to know. Short and sweet the answer: “It fits.” More emotional then the greeting by Lisbeth. He also assures her that he is feeling better. But he’s not over the breakup, as is evident not only when he retires to his bachelor’s room. In the course of the episode he confesses to his brother: “I don’t put anything away, Hans. Nothing at all. I’m just trying to deal with things. In my own way”. Nevertheless, he asks Lilli if she has heard anything from Anne. Has she, because Anne got in touch about her shares in Gruber-Milch: “Either her dad pays her out in full, which of course he can’t do, or she wants an annual profit-sharingbut for that he needs large reserves…”, Lilli admits to him.

Martin finds distraction at work. Because Linn is needed on the farm, Ronja should help in practice. But she refuses: “There’s something I still have to tell you.” Her family fears that she wants to start working for Robert again. But Lilli gives the all-clear. “I’ll catch up on the Matura and then I’ll study medicine,” she says. She wants to do an internship at the clinic. But until that starts, she wants to support her father. Now that he’s shaved again, he doesn’t even make it to the practice when he gets a call from Dr. Kahnweiler …
