Director Xavier Dolan signs his first work for the small screen with The night Laurier Gaudreault woke upa fiction in five episodes to discover from this Monday, January 23.
After adapting with great talent Tom at the farmby Quebec playwright Michel Marc Bouchard, in 2014, Xavier Dolan transformed another of his plays written in 2019 into a series The night Laurier Gaudreault woke up. During these five episodes of a good hour, we follow the reunion of Mireille Larouche (Julie Le Breton), a thanatologist who came to embalm the body of her late mother (Anne Dorval with whom Xavier Dolan has already collaborated in I killed my mother, Imaginary lovers, Laurence Anyway, Mommy and Mathias and Maxime) with his brothers, Julien (Patrick Hivon), Denis (Éric Bruneau) and Elliot (Xavier Dolan), as well as Julien’s wife, Chantal (Magalie Lépine-Blondeau).
