On Thursday, April 20, King Carl XVI Gustaf and Queen Silvia will arrive in the world heritage city, and preparations for the grand visit are already in full swing.
Among other things, a cortege will be carried out along Borgmästaregatan up to Stortorget, where in Fredrik’s Church you are invited to a public celebration.
Flying drones
In connection with the royal visit, the police will provide camera surveillance with drones. The area that is monitored is all of Trossö, Björkholmen and the station area between 9.30am and 4pm.
The camera surveillance is carried out with a crime prevention and safety-creating purpose, and is seen as a complement to the police’s other work.
