MEXICO CITY (apro).– The federal government and that of Mexico City began the process of basing health personnel who currently have precarious or temporary contracts, to incorporate them into the Health Services of the Mexican Institute of Social Security (IMSS). ) Welfare.
The Ministry of Health (Sedesa) and the IMSS Bienestar Health Services reported that the recruitment of health personnel from hospitals in the network began this Tuesday, with the purpose that on September 1 they form part, with a definitive position, of the staff of the Decentralized Public Organization (OPD) IMSS Bienestar, and can collect their first salary on the 15th of that same month.
Participants must meet the following requirements:
– Have an eventual contract or professional services for fees, for a determined period of time; that is, a temporary contract, giving priority in all cases to the criterion of seniority in the public service.
- Being providing services in a Health Establishment susceptible to being transferred to the IMSS Well-being.
- Seniority in the provision of services.
- That health personnel with a precarious and/or temporary contract comply with the academic and work profile (schooling and work experience).
- The performance associated with training and reinforcement of skills.
- That the worker is without a permanent position in IMSS, ISSSTE or any other institution in the health sector.
- That the worker is not disqualified from performing functions in the public service.
In a statement, the agencies added that the basicization will regularize medical, nursing and paramedical personnel, to strengthen medical care in the units that provide direct care to the population that does not have social security, for which different activities will be carried out to the integration of files of personnel subject to basification simultaneously in different locations in the city.
Headquarters personnel who have precarious or temporary contracts will have to appear at said offices, where the general guidelines for contracting the IMSS Bienestar Health Services will be announced, the benefits to which they will be credited, as well as the table of salary improvements that will benefit the workers.
In addition, they pointed out: “The base positions, legal benefits and recognitions of seniority will be as IMSS Well-being personnel, and no longer by the Headquarters; Therefore, the subsequent contracting phases will be carried out by the IMSS Bienestar Health Services”.
However, the Sedesa will support the process so that it develops quickly.
On August 8, medical personnel from different public hospitals in the capital demonstrated in front of the National Palace to demand better working conditions, which included: being basified, that years of seniority be respected, and salary homologation.
Before, on July 17, they held demonstrations in different parts of the city, to extend the same demands.
