HElon Musk has been included on Time’s list of the 100 most influential people of the year for some time now, and 2023 could be no exception. However, if in previous lists the businessman was praised for his work at Tesla and SpaceX, this year Musk was highlighted for less favorable reasons.
Journalist Kara Swisher was responsible for writing about Elon Musk’s presence in this time listdescribing the entrepreneur as “the richest online troll in the world”. At issue is the controversial Twitter acquisition process that took up much of 2022.
“It’s a shame, because much of what (Elon Musk) has tried to do throughout his career – even if some of those things are just ambitions at the moment – has been courageous and inspiring, especially compared to some other nondescript entrepreneurs for whom better application of meetings is the pinnacle of innovation”writes Swisher.
The journalist points her finger at the “erratic leadership” of Elon Musk on Twitter and that the businessman “spends too much of his time fiddling with his toxic violin while it burns”.
“What is the opposite of progress? Elon Musk in 2023”says Swisher.
