In recent weeks, Luffy’s Gear 5 has been the biggest highlight in the anime industry, not to mention the main attraction this summer. The new transformation of our favorite pirate has been a full-fledged show, although it is true that chapter 1071 has not completely enchanted the fans.
However the chapter 1072 yes it has been better received among the fans of the series, giving us exceptional animation and extraordinary sequences. But there is one in particular that we want to highlight above the others and that perfectly reflects the essence of the Gear 5.

During one of the races that Luffy has to try to beat Kaido, we see how his face separates from the body due to the speed at which it moves. This causes that, in a few frames and in an absurd and funny way, the Straw Hat has to hold his eyes and mouth with his own hands to put them back on his face with a slap.
There are dozens of sequences similar to this one, but seeing the love that has been put into this scene, which could have gone unnoticed if it weren’t for the most attentive fans, it’s impossible to think that this transformation has become one of the best views in a shōnen till the date. It remains to be seen what Oda has in store for Luffy in the future, but considering what she has achieved with him in this fight against kaidowe just expect tremendously fun and, above all, epic and delusional transformations for the viewer.
