HOW DID PELÉ AND XUXA MEET?
It was the mid-80s when the start of this controversial romance managed to be known by all the press and media of the time. At that time, “O’Rei” was already 40 years old and had three children, while Xuxa, a young girl of just 17 years old, began to show herself as one of the revelation singers in all of Brazil.
The official story tells that Xuxa received a call to be a participant in the cover of a magazine in which, curiously, the three-time world champion would also participate. It was the perfect opportunity for the young woman to jump to stardom, so she did not hesitate to attend such a photo session.

After finishing the photographic work, Pelé chose to invite her to a date that, to the surprise of the soccer star, Xuxa rejected. “I told him that I lived far away and that I was a minor”pointed out the artist herself in an interview some time ago.
However, the legend of Brazil did not give up and insisted by phone. Xuxa recounts that her father answered the phone and believed that it was impossible for “O’Rei” to call his house. “Then he called my house and my father hung up thinking it was a joke, but then I ended up accepting”he added.

According to Xuxa’s version, which was published on the Matheus Mazzafera channel via Youtube, the former Santos footballer was his first love relationship that lasted 6 years and that, in addition, he was betrayed during all that time.
