Another Playstation Productions project, in addition to the ongoing (and brilliant) The Last of Us series and this summer’s Gran Turismo movie, appears to be on track for a 2023 premiere. A recent tweet from Playstation’s head of product and also the head of PS Productions, Asad Qizilbash, namely hints that the Twisted Metal series will also premiere this year.

The tweet revolves around an elevator ride at Playstation Productions headquarters, showing images of The Last of Us and Gran Turismo to hype both projects, and is accompanied by the very clear text (plus fire and clown emojis):

“Playstation Productions this year in one elevator ride. You can’t see me, but my head is on fire too”.

For anyone who doesn’t know what the latter half of the tweet is likely alluding to, we show you a picture of Twisted Metal below.

The Twisted Metal series has so far not had a premiere date or even a premiere year confirmed, but Peacock picked up the project early last year so a 2023 premiere doesn’t feel at all unlikely.
