USA has found possible “human remains” among the fragments of the Titan submersible, which imploded on Sunday June 18 during a dive to view the wreckage of the Titanic with five people on board. The remains will be analyzed by “medical professionals” in the US, as reported by the Coast Guard in a statement.

The US Coast Guard, which is leading the investigation into the submersible implosion, has summoned a board of marine inquiry , the highest level of research within the agency. The board is working closely with other national and international agencies, including authorities in Canada, the UK and France.

This finding is known the same day that another part of the remains of the Titan arrived in Canada, recovered by the Canadian company to which the Polar Prince, the mother ship of the submersible, also belongs. With these remains, Canadian authorities are also conducting investigations to determine the causes of the submersible accident.

Recovered the bow or a porthole

Among those remains, it has been possible recover the bow of the submersible intact, a gray hemispherical piece with a small porthole through which the occupants of the boat could observe the exterior. The porthole seems to have lost the piece of transparent material that covered it. In the images, captured by the Canadian public broadcaster CBC, they show the cranes of the Horizon Arctic unloading large pieces of the Titan early on Wednesday.

Polar Prince was in charge of towing the submersible Titan on the 16th with its five occupants from the port of St. John in Newfoundland to the point in the Atlantic where it submerged, about 600 kilometers to the southeast, where the remains of the Titanic rest. According to US authorities, Polar Prince lost contact with Titan on Sunday June 18, 105 minutes after starting his dive towards the Titanic.

The deceased are the British adventurer Hamish Harding, Shahzada y Suleman Dawood; the CEO of OceanGate, the company responsible for the ship, Stockton Rush; and the French citizen Paul-Henri Nargeolet.
