The organizers canceled the race due to poor visibility after an initial postponement of the start.
updated: The ski race planned for today “Weißer Ring” was first postponed by an hour before it was finally canceled completely. On the one hand there is too much fresh snow, on the other hand visibility is so poor that a helicopter operation would not be possible in an emergency.
The starting signal for the “White Ring” was initially postponed by an hour on Saturday morning. The second launch attempt was scheduled for 10:00 a.m.
The distance
After starting at the Rüfikopf, the route takes you via the Schüttboden lift, the Trittalpbahn and the Madloch around the Omeshorn to Zug. The athletes take the chairlift to the Balmengrat, where they then head to the finish line in the direction of Lech. 22 kilometers and around 5,500 meters in altitude have to be covered from start to finish.
