Henry Cavill’s last stand promises to be very spectacular.
Geralt de Riv questions his “neutrality“, in the trailer for season 3 of The Witcher, which Netflix has just released. The Witcher trained Ciri with the help of Yennefer. The young girl is now hyper-powerful, and is destined to become a Witcher… But will they really be able to stay away from the conflict that threatens the Continent?
Remember that this will be the last season for Henry Cavillwho will then pass the sword to Liam Hemsworthwho will take over the role of Geralt de Riv from season 4.
“As the Continent’s monarchs, mages, and monsters outwit each other in their ingenuity to get their hands on Ciri, Geralt protects her, determined to fend off anyone who tries to harm her barely reunited family.” announces the synopsis. “Charged with training the girl as a sorceress, Yennefer takes them to the Fortress of Aretuza, where they hope to learn more about Ciri’s unknown powers. But far from the expected security, they only find a nest of vipers where betrayals are linked against a background of political corruption and black magic. To get out of this, they’re going to have to risk everything if they don’t want to be lost forever.”
Volume 1 Season 3 of The Witcher, which will contain episodes 1 to 5, will be released on June 29 on Netflix. Afterwards, volume 2, consisting of episodes 6 to 8, will arrive on July 27.
