UOCRA workers demonstrated this Tuesday in front of the work they are carrying out at the Provincial Water Treatment Plant as a result of the fact that some 29 workers were suspended for not being able to meet their biweekly payment due to the lack of funds from the Nation

The employees received notification of the suspension of the company in charge of the work and were momentarily without work. The firm claims not to have received national funds to pay the salaries.

From Assa they clarified that the works are in charge of the UTE (Transitory Union of Companies) integrated by Supercemento-Obring-Basaa.

Faced with this situation, the group that remained effective decided not to work this Tuesday. “We are uncertain that they will be fired. We hope that the government will do something, there are many families that are left without a livelihood,” added the delegate.

A hearing will be held on Thursday at the Ministry of Labor, where it is expected to reach an agreement and unblock the conflict.
