With the summer holidays getting closer, the demand for shifts to complete the Vehicle Technical Verification (VTV) skyrocketed and in the last hours the provincial authorities set off the alarms for a series of scams reported by different drivers when obtaining a turn to carry out the procedure.

“Given the complaints of fraud in the reservation of VTV appointments, we inform you that during the process your bank details or payment in advance are not requested”indicated in the portfolio led by Jorge D’Onofrio to warn people who are trying to pass the exhaustive security analysis of their vehicles, necessary to be able to travel long distances.

In that framework, in the Province indicated that “the only official site to process a shift at the VTV plants is vtv.minfra.gba.gob.ar and remarked: “In case of receiving communications that request bank details, they must be rejected and reported.”

In the run-up to the summer holidays, many rush to carry out the verification and the demand for the shifts collapses. That is why there are those who take advantage of this situation to carry out scams, in the same way that it is done with banks and credit or debit cards.

The Buenos Aires authorities thus asked to be careful not to reveal personal data that has nothing to do with the request for the date and time and to report these facts immediately to prevent more people from being deceived.
