Although there have been a few bugs and glitches discovered in Call of Duty: Warzone 2 since its November release, this one may be among the funniest.
A reddit user has gotten a lot of likes on a Call of Duty: Warzone 2 video in which it appears the player is killed by a frag grenade when it’s not even thrown onto the battlefield.
As in other battle royales, Call of Duty: Warzone 2 players launch themselves from a plane that crosses the map in a straight line to start a match. While some players have been known to try and get parachute kills with their pistols in Call of Duty: Warzone 2, this Warzone fan wasn’t even able to get that far in his battle royale match.
Reddit user ForeverInBlueJeanz recently shared a short video of his Call of Duty: Warzone 2 gameplay in which he is killed by a frag grenade while the intro scene is taking place.
The video begins like any Call of Duty: Warzone 2 match, be it solo, duo or squad, with the introduction of the plane showing each player in the party. After the camera pans across the front of the plane, the ForeverInBlueJeanz character appears, looking like he’s about to descend solo towards Al Mazrah.
As soon as the soldier comes off the wall of the plane, an enemy grenade icon from Call of Duty: Warzone 2 can be seen before the cutscene briefly shows the hand icon indicating the player can throw the grenade away. from him to avoid taking damage.
Possibly unable to interact with the enemy team due to the nature of the scene in this Call of Duty: Warzone 2 intro, the soldier proceeds to step over the grenade, which explodes below him. The explosion on the plane is powerful enough to kill ForeverInBlueJeanz’s character before he can even escape the plane, making it arguably the fastest kill in Warzone history.
