The mmo of survival ‘The Day Before‘ has suffered a further delay due to what its developer describes as a rather bizarre case of possible trademark infringement.

The game was supposed to be out this spring, and last week Fntastic promised more gameplay footage from The Day Before.

The Singapore-based studio announced its post-apocalyptic survival MMO in early 2021, initially intending to release it later that year before pushing it back to mid-2022.

He then decided to move the game to Unreal Engine 5 just weeks before its planned release, thus pushing The Day Before back to 2023.

Now, The Day Before will also change its March 1 release date, and Fntastic now says that its release is planned for November 10, 2023. As for the reason for this new delay, the studio has stated on social networks that it is still unable to get the “The Day Before” brand, so it “has made the difficult decision” to stop its marketing efforts and delay the game until that the problem is solved.

The MMO was even delisted from Steam as part of these complications earlier this week. It was an unprecedented turn of events, as The Day Before was the second most searched game on Steam at the time of its retirement.
