A stop at the gas station betrayed a group of 49 migrantsoriginally from Haiti, who were heading to the city of cancun when they came from the state of Chiapas, inside a bus used to, presumably, transport tourists.

The events occurred on the morning of this Sunday, April 9, at kilometer 342 of the Reforma Agraria – Puerto Juárez highway, at the PEMEX gas station. Just at that point agents of the National Guard They were there and they observed that people with traits of another nationality were getting off the bus.

The officers approached and activated the corresponding protocols and discovered, thanks to the driver and his companion, that the people on board are Haitians and that they came from Chiapas and were destined for the city of Cancun, Quintana Roo.

When the elements found sufficient evidence, they proceeded to request documentation from each person to prove their legitimate stay in Mexicobut none had the paper, which is why they were arrested.

After the insurance, they placed the migrants at the disposal of the National Institute of Migrationwhile the bus driver and his companion made them available to the Attorney General’s Office.

The National Guard reported that among the 49 Haitians there are minors15 to be exact. All the illegals were treated and assessed by doctors and then the federal authority determined the legal status of each one.
