MEXICO CITY (appro).- The Conade began to pay the scholarships to the members of the artistic swimming team.
This Tuesday the National Commission for Physical Culture and Sports (Conade) began to pay scholarships to artistic swimmers, after last week the Eleventh District Judge in Administrative Matters in Mexico City, Agustín Tello Espíndola, granted the suspension. definitively to the members of the national artistic swimming team and ordered Conade to return all the economic resources they received until before the director, Ana Gabriela Guevara, took them away.
The Conade only had three days to prove that the money had been paid to the athletes. The deadline expired on Friday the 16th and now the lawyer José Luis Jiménez confirmed to El Universal that the swimmers have begun to receive part of the scholarships.
At the moment, the amount received by the athletes corresponds to the month of June. However, Jiménez explained that they are expected to soon receive the money owed to them since January of this year when the scholarship was illegally withdrawn by Ana Guevara.
The return of the scholarships took place despite the fact that on Thursday the 15th the head of Conade, Ana Guevara, stated that she had not received the judicial notification that forced her to return the scholarships to the aquatic athletes and described it as a “media mitote ” the dispute over the lack of support.
“We do not have the resolution and I do not want to talk about it. We do not have the notification yet, it is a media mitote.”
Once again, Ana Guevara is left without arguments that there is any legal impediment that supports her decision not to give scholarships and financial support to any athlete in the aquatic specialties, now that a judge has ordered the immediate return of federal resources to the athletes it is clear that she was never “impaired” or that she would violate the law if she gave them the money.
