Mexico City.- Three of the eleven detainees allegedly related to the attack against the journalist Ciro Gómez Leyva were linked to the process.

This Friday the hearings were held in the oral trial rooms of the North Prison, where the Control Judge ordered the five women and seven men remand for crimes against health and possession of a firearm.

“Of the people mentioned, three were linked to the process, one more awaiting an intermediate hearing after being redirected to criminal proceedings, while another seven requested the duplication of the constitutional term,” reported the Mexico City Attorney General’s Office.

A control judge linked Juan Antonio “N” and Elizabeth Mireya “N” to the process, as a precautionary measure of preventive detention and a month and a half period for the complementary investigation.

In addition, for Tania Jaqueline “N”, two months was dictated as the term for the complementary investigation.

Of the remaining defendants, seven requested the duplicity of the constitutional term, so it will be until next Wednesday when it is decided if they are linked to the process.

Among these detainees is Pedro N alias Pool, the leader of the alleged criminal gang related to illegal activities such as drug dealing, extortion of merchants in the City and in the State of Mexico.

Until the closing of this edition, the hearing against Sergio David “N” continued for crimes against health in the form of drug dealing, hypothesis of possession for commercial purposes, possession of a firearm without a license and bribery.
