Chihuahua.- Through the “Ciudad Cercana” public policy, investment in vertical housing construction is encouraged, through the offer of discounts on construction licenses, Transfer of Domain and Property Tax.

These tax incentives can go up to a 50 percent discount for the construction license and Transfer of Domain, in addition to up to an 80 percent discount on Property Tax; all of the above within the Ciudad Cercana polygon.

The director of the Institute of Integral Planning of the Municipality of Chihuahua (IMPLAN), Carlos Hernández Velasco, reported that these benefits are applicable to construction projects that are located within the polygon called Ciudad Cercana, which is delimited to the north by Juan Avenida Escutia, to the south by the Ch-P Highway, to the west by the Periférico de la Juventud and to the east by the Pacheco and Industrias avenues.

He explained that this delimitation was made under the criteria of being areas that have all the services and urban infrastructure, and promoting that more people occupy these sectors of the city, would help to modernize the growth of the city.

This translates into savings for the public administration, which is in charge of providing the necessary infrastructure in new urban developments, as well as for people, who spend time and resources traveling because they live far from the places where they carry out their daily activities. .

He said that Ciudad Cercana is an alternative that invites investors to develop housing in the aforementioned polygon and benefit from discounts and new construction regulations, which also represent construction advantages.

He commented that they have attended to people interested in developing projects, who have been given advice and cleared up doubts, and that, at the moment, requests have been received for four potential projects for their possible execution and application of the benefits.
