They rescue the man who fell into a hole at a construction site in Miami-Dade

A man was hospitalized after he had to be rescued after falling into a water-filled hole at a construction site in southwest Miami-Dade early Sunday morning.

Miami-Dade Fire Department officials said crews responded to the construction site located in the 21600 block of Southwest and 119th Avenue just before 4 a.m.

Authorities said the man had been waiting for help to get out of the 10-foot-deep hole for two to three hours.

The man did not see the hole as he was walking and fell, authorities said, after rescuing him consciously and taking him to a nearby hospital.

“We kept it pretty basic. And we made sure the scene was safe and we used the stoke basket to get the patient out of the hole,” said Miami-Dade Fire Department Officer Juan del Campo.

So far the authorities have not revealed the identity of the man or an update on his health condition.
