OAXACA, Oax. (apro) .

This was announced by the Assembly of the Indigenous Peoples of the Isthmus in Defense of Land and Territory (APIIDTT) and added that, after more than 2 years and 4 months of walking for justice, land and freedom, “we make public the ex officio suspension and plan against the declaration of the Development Pole for Well-being (industrial park) of San Blas Atempa, Oaxaca, which intended to destroy our common use lands known as El Pitayal”.

And he reaffirmed: “The Binniza community of Puente Madera have stopped 1 of the 10 Podebis (industrial parks) of the Interoceanic Corridor because our fight is fair and dignified, they would say nothing by force out there.”

He explained that, as the community of Puente Madera, belonging to the municipality of San Blas Atempa, Oaxaca, filed a nullity trial in the Agrarian Court because, with the haste to impose the approval of the Industrial Park, the then municipal president Antonino Morales Toledo carried out a rigged assembly where they falsified signatures of more than 80% of the register of community members and deceased persons.

However, this is the date on which the Agrarian Court has not resolved anything, which is why they decided to file an amparo proceeding before the Seventh District Court against the declaration of the San Blas Atempa Well-being Development Pole, which it was granted to them.

In addition, they announced that in the coming weeks the intermediate hearing of the criminal complaint against the community agent, David Hernández Salazar, who has been fabricated crimes that he did not commit, will be held, this in order to silence his voice and deprive him of his freedom.

In the same situation are another 17 inhabitants of Puente Madera, who are being persecuted with arrest warrants, which is why “we will start a Campaign against Criminalization, Aggressions and Threats against defenders of land and territory.”

In advance, “we hold President Andrés Manuel López Obrador responsible for the climate of violence, attacks, criminalization, death threats and anything that could happen to the inhabitants of Puente Madera; Governor Salomón Jara Cruz; the Secretary of Government Jesús Romero López; the secretary of administration, Antonino Morales Toledo; the Secretary of the Navy, José Rafael Ojeda Durán, and the director of the Interoceanic Corridor, Raymundo Morales Ángeles.
