Members of the Argentine Naval Prefecture (PNA) dismantled a smuggling maneuver and seized a shipment of more than 10,500 kilos of soybeans, which were to be illegally exported from the coast of El Soberbio to Brazil.

According to what was consigned by official sources of the Force, the kidnapping was the result of a land patrol that made it possible to detect, at kilometer 1148 of the Uruguay River, movements of loading and unloading of merchandise.

When going to the place, the maritime authority found that it was about 242 burlap bags with 44 kilos each of soybeans inside, which were being loaded from a truck to a boat embedded on the coast.

During the operation, the Prefecture identified a 65-year-old man and confiscated the cargo, valued at nearly two million pesos, which was made available to the Oberá Customs General Directorate (Misiones).

In addition, the vehicle used to transport the merchandise, the boat with which the crossing was intended to be made, and mobile phone equipment were seized. The identified person was subject to the cause.
