Guerrero.- Armed men assaulted a branch of the Banco del Bienestar in the Municipality of Zihuatanejo de Azueta, on the Costa Grande of Guerrero, and stole more than 1,200,000 pesos this Friday, according to reports.

The robbery took place at the Well-being bank located on Avenida Playa Linda, on the corner with Palmitas in Colonia José Ixtapa, one block from the cemetery in the town of Ixtapa Zihuatanejo.

According to the head of the branch, the robbery was perpetrated with violence.

For several days, the elderly have been going to the welfare banks to collect their pension granted by the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador.

The assault on Banco del Bienestar is part of the wave of violence that has kept the population and authorities of Ixtapa Zihuatanejo on alert for days, following the recording of extortion threats from LP gas companies and the shooting of two people. .

State authorities reported that two LP gas companies in Zihuatanejo and another in Petatlán remain closed due to threats they have received from an organized crime group.

In Zihuatanejo, only one of the three gas companies is open selling the gas.

The shortage of LP gas has caused the closure of inns and restaurants, where diners go in the center of this tourist destination.

The closure of the companies began last Saturday, February 4.

Other violent acts On the other hand, just this Tuesday, February 7, on Vicente Guerrero avenue, in the center of Zihuatanejo, an armed individual shot three women, one of whom died while being treated at the General Hospital .

Yesterday, a bolillo vendor was shot to death in Colonia Los Pinos, located almost in the center of this town on the Costa Grande.
