Mexico City.- Shakira thanked her fans for their support after achieving the biggest debut in music history with her song “Shakira: Bzrp Music Sessions, Vol. 53”.
Through social networks, Shakira said that she never imagined that a song that for her was “a catharsis and an outlet” would become number one worldwide.
The song reached number one on the Top 50 Global list on Spotify with more than 14 million streams and is positioned as a trend on YouTube.
The 45-year-old Colombian singer recognized all the women who rise up against those who make them feel insignificant.
“Women who defend what they feel and think, and raise their hands when they disagree, even if others raise their eyebrows,” she wrote.
He assured that the success of his song is an achievement of all these women, who are also his inspiration.
“Not as society orders us to, but in the way that occurs to us, the one that helps us get ahead for our children, our parents and for those who need us and hope in us,” she added.
Shakira also thanked her label Sony Music and Bizarrap, with whom she teamed up to release the single.
