David de Gea and Edurne got married last Saturday in Menorca. The couple said ‘yes, I do’ after twelve years of relationship at a wedding that was held in the strictest privacy. The details of the link were hidden to the last place to prevent the information from leaking out. In fact, the exact date of the celebration was not known until a couple of days before it took place.
The footballer and the singer chose the Canteras de S’Hostal to celebrate one of the best days of their lives. There, together with approximately eighty guests, the ceremony, the banquet and the subsequent party. In addition, the brand new husband and wife had the detail of approaching the area where the press was to make a few brief statements.
“We are very happy and content. Now we want to have peace of mind and enjoy with family and friends. It has been a very emotional ceremony, we have family and friends who are the best. They have made us cry a lot and we are very happy”, they have stated in front of the cameras. Among the guests were colleagues from the two fields of work of the couple. The couple’s daughter, Yanay, was in charge of wearing her parents’ rings.
“We really like this island, it has a special charm. Especially in summer, when you want to be close to the beach”, Edurne expressed, justifying the choice of the Canteras de S’Hostal, an exterior complex based on marine stone near Ciudadela, as a place to celebrate the wedding.

The bride wore a white strapless dress and a long veil of the same color, all signed by the designer Elie Saab. The goalkeeper also opted for originality. His suit was not of the typical colors and he used a bottle green jacket and pants, a light blue shirt and a dark black tie that matched the rest of the garment. In addition, he also showed off an impressive watch on his right hand and appeared somewhat uncomfortable in front of the cameras with the ring.

The day before the celebration, the couple organized a welcome party at a restaurant very close to the beach. A large part of the wedding guests were there and all of them had to comply with a single condition: to wear white dresses.
