The house could go missing, it looks like a resting place, with some rooms under a palapa and another place to store cars, some of them remained inside, and dozens of casings of different calibers.

To get to this house you have to pass a challenge of the Secretary of National Defense, placed on the International Highway Mexico 15, at the height of the La Campana community then you have to overcome more than 20 units that were abandoned along the way, all with bullet holes and some burned.

Among the units are patrols and even a armored vehicle of the Mexican Army, completely consumed by flames. A van is just below the arch that welcomes the town.

Entering Ovidio Guzmán’s house is not easy either, you have to go up a hill and surround more trucks hit by bullets, that was his security ring.

Some armored trucks with decals of a mouse stand out, the image that characterized Ovidio Guzmán’s cell, for being the nickname by which he is known. The units were equipped with a base to place large caliber weapons, tire punches and other attachments.

The vans with these characteristics and decals are the closest to the house, and they had been used during the first confrontation, around 4 in the morning, according to the version of the town’s residents.

Along with several of the trucks were clothing, medicines, and healing equipment, apparently for the wounded. Some 48 hours after what happened, there are still some bodies among the mountains, which are outside the official figures of the authorities, who so far have counted 30 casualties; 19 civilians and 11 elements from different corporations.

The neighbors insist that more sane people must have remained in the surroundings, since some people ran between the hills, seeking refuge, many of them injured.

In Jesús María there is still no electricity and the military have only recently allowed them to leave and enter freely, after going through the checkpoints and doing a mandatory review.

They narrate that At the beginning of the operation they were asleep, the bullets from the helicopters woke them up, and then the shots from the groundthey tried to take refuge where they could, but they knew that the calibers used could penetrate anything.

Those who were a little lucky managed to escape from the place, others stayed for more than 12 hours in the bathrooms, closet or wherever they could, and when they left they saw the magnitude of what had happened.

Several houses have bullet wounds, some of their vehicles were damaged, as well as household appliances and other items, which they do not know who can recover them.

“The most important thing is that we have life, that we are saved,” said one of the residents.

There is no food in the village either. Some of their relatives have managed to get a pantry, but they have nowhere to store it until the electricity service is restored.

Most say they are a little calmer now that the authorities have left, as this reduces the fear of a new confrontation, but they are worried about not knowing what will happen in the following days, for this reason some have taken their belongings and left. They have left Jesús María.
