TikTok confirms its control by the Chinese communist regime

TikTok and its Chinese parent company ByteDance sued the US federal government over the law that would force them to sell ByteDance’s shareholding or face a ban.

Both companies claim the law is unconstitutional, as China’s regime recently banned WhatsApp and Threads from Apple’s app store in the Asian country over security concerns. Now he pretends that the US does not do the same with TikTok.

The law stipulates that TikTok’s parent company, ByteDance, must sell it within nine months. If the sale is already underway, the company would have three more months to complete the deal.

ByteDance stated that it “has no plans to sell TikTok.” But even if I wanted to sell it, would have to have the approval of the Chinese regimewhat He previously opposed a forced sale and has indicated his opposition on this occasion.

It is clear that TikTok is linked to the communist government of China and its ruling Party and for any operation it is the regime that decides, not TikTok or ByteDance.

Now TikTok, a direct ally and controlled by the Chinese government, intends to determine the security of the United States and not do the same thing that the communist regime unilaterally decided about WhatsApp and Threads.

The TikTok platform has been raising alarm bells around the world for years due to intelligence reports on possible cybereconomic espionage and other national security matters.

The lawsuit filed Tuesday could precede a protracted legal dispute over the future of that platform in the United States.

The company alleges that the law, which President Joe Biden signed as part of a $95 billion international aid package, is “obviously unconstitutional” that the law’s sponsors are trying to present it not as a ban but as a regulation. of TikTok ownership.
