DC’s live action series, Titanshas revealed a full first look at season 4 star Teagan Croft’s updated White Raven character.

You see, the comic book team of the same name teen titansTitans debuted on the streaming service DC Universe in 2018, before coming to HBO Max, and now that Titans season 4 has gone fully supernatural, with the heroes led by Nightwing (Brenton Thwaites) battling the villainous Mother Mayhem (Franka Potente) and her Church of Blood.

The villain’s plan is to bring the demon lord Trigon back to Earth after the Titans managed to imprison him during the season 2 premiere. But, shortly after the Titans midseason finale featured the disappointing debut from White Raventhe first full look at Croft’s new look arrived on the show’s Twitter page.

The heroine’s transformation felt a bit rushed and didn’t provide a clear look at the new suit, which is why the team behind the show have now given a full look at the Titans’ version of White Raven. The design features a cape and dress in different shades of white that differ from White Raven’s style of the same shade in the comics and animated series.

But… What is different about White Raven?

The White Raven form of the hero of DC she has appeared in the comics before, where she is most commonly referred to as her Soul-Self. But viewers also saw him multiple times on the animated Teen Titans show. White Raven is known to be the most powerful form of him.

White Raven’s first manifestation in the Teen Titans animated show occurred in Teen Titans season 1 episode six, “Nevermore”. Raven’s emotions became unbalanced, releasing her anger during the Teen Titans’ previous battle with the villainous Doctor Light.

So, Raven decides to access her own subconscious to set things right, but gets mixed up with a manifestation of her demon father Trigon, where Raven managed to defeat him by uniting their different selves in the form of White Raven.

DC’s live-action series tells its own version of this story, with Titans even including the “Azarath Metrion Zinthos” chant from the cartoon in season 4. The new power of Raven coming in Titans season 4 is fitting as the show dives deeper into supernatural storylines and characters.

So as such, Raven has an important role to play, given the hero’s connection to the supernatural and the different planes of existence throughout his story. This continued with the mid-season finale of Titans and White Raven’s transformation after she finally regains her powers.
