Oberhof (VRV). The Sparkasse Bludenz toboggan club was represented with 3 athletes at the FIL Youth Games in Oberhof (GER) and achieved sensational results.

The FIL Youth Games are the largest international junior race in artificial track luge and a real benchmark for the level of performance of young athletes.

In youth class B female (9/10 years), two girls started for the Sparkasse Bludenz toboggan club and dominated the race. Leonie Neyer won with 7 hundredths of a second ahead of the German Thalia Dannebergtook the excellent 3rd place Nica Bleiner another runner from the Bludenzer Sparkasse team. Mateusz Labenz started in the youth B class male (12/13 years), couldn’t cope with the track, fell in the 2nd run and was eliminated. In the team relay, Leonie Neyer and her crew took 3rd place, Nica Bleiner 7th. Further proof that the good work with youngsters in the club and association is already bearing fruit.
