That of open world video games it is a genre that has evolved over the years thanks to the publication of dozens of open-world titles, some particularly innovative, others certainly less so, but in any case all (or almost) have contributed to clearing the genre among the general public.

Elden Ring
Elden Ring is the game of the year, the vast Open World imagined by Hidetaka Miyazaki and George RR Martin (famous author of A Song of Ice and Fire) has made inroads into the hearts of the public, an epochal success of 17 million copies in a few months.Getting lost in the Interregnum is certainly one of the most pleasant activities you can imagine doing with a controller in hand, guaranteed.
Horizon Forbidden West
Although the sequel to Horizon has been overshadowed by the incredible (and partly unexpected) success of Elden Ring, Forbidden West is an Open World game of absolute depthwhich once again demonstrates Guerrilla Games’ ability to create enchanted worlds and expanses.

Dying Light 2 Stay Human
Dying Light is one of the most popular video games of the last decadea game that greatly helped popularize Open World to a wider audience.
Its sequel does not have this merit but it is still confirmed as an open world game that you must try, especially if you love decadent atmospheres and obviously hordes of monsters… in Dying Light 2 Stay Human you will find many, ready to give you the hunt through dark alleys and streets of a collapsing city.
