Since the resignation of iconic founder Cédric Lagarrigue in the spring of 2018, Focus Entertainment has been no stranger to frequent turmoil in its organization. The French publisher even begins the year 2023 with a new managing director. An Anglo-Irish veteran from Bethesda, Sean Brennan has been chosen to replace Christophe Nobileau, who nevertheless continues to work for Focus Entertainment as Deputy Managing Director in charge of corporate. The other Deputy Chief Executive Officer, John Bert, is in charge of operational matters. The board of directors is also evolving with Fabrice Larue as chairman and Frank Sagnier as vice-chairman.

With more than 35 years of experience in the video game industry, notably at Virgin Interactive, Sean Brennan was previously European general manager and responsible for all international publishing activities for Bethesda Softworks, which led him to work in collaboration with the studios responsible for titles like The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim, The Elder Scrolls Online, Fallout 4, Fallout 76, Doom, Dishonored, Wolfenstein and The Evil Within. “Sean Brennan’s extensive experience in the games industry will be key to Focus Entertainment’s continued transformation to achieve its strategic ambition. In addition to the Russian FPS Atomic Heart expected on February 23, Focus Entertainment will be able to count on the action-RPG Atlas Fallen, a new Deck13 license playable in cooperation, the tactical action game Aliens: Dark Descent by Tindalos, Banishers: Ghost of New Eden, the new franchise co-owned with Don’t Nod unveiled at the Game Awards, or Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 by Saber Interactive. Focus and Saber will also unveil a new co-production as part of E3 2023. To these titles are also added the next games from the Dotemu label, including Pharaoh: A New Era and Metal Slug Tactics.
