This Wednesday, September 13, the Time revealed its new cover, and surprise for fans of Top chef since Mory Sacko appears from head to toe juggling oranges. In the caption, the magazine highlights the young man’s impressive journey since his participation in the culinary show, a program which he did not win since he was eliminated several weeks before the semi-final. “Last year, Mory Sacko was chosen to cook for President Emmanuel Macron at a key Africa summit“. Not to mention his Parisian restaurant where several months are sometimes necessary to get a table. Finally, many personalities have already tasted his dishes, namely Timothée Chalamet, Forest Whitaker, and former president François Hollande, as recalled by Time.

Mory Sacko can’t believe it!
For his part, Mory Sacko couldn’t help reposting the cover of Time. “Honestly, this is the kind of thing that only happens once in a lifetime (and again).“, he wrote in a comment before thanking Omar Sy who wrote a few words about him in the magazine. “I can only savor this strong moment, it’s a great recognition for everything I try to transmit and tell on a daily basis through my work!“ he adds. Proud and honored, the star of Top chef recalls that few French people have already found themselves on the front page of Time : “Also happy to be the 3rd French Chef to be on the cover of TIME after Michel Guérard (1976) and Alain Ducasse (2001), what pride! PS: The last Frenchman to cover Next Generation Leaders was Kylian MBappé.“
