Borussia should even target a record sale. The previous record is held by Granit Xhaka, who joined Arsenal in 2016 for 45 million euros.

Last summer Newcastle United had offered 35 million euros for Koné, but the foals remained steadfast. Now apparently some international heavyweights are involved in poker around the 21-year-old. In addition to Chelsea FC and West Ham United, according to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Liverpool FC, Paris St. Germain and FC Bayern are also following the youngster’s situation closely.

Of course, a personality like Koné arouses desires. Especially when an economically troubled club like Gladbach puts such a talented player on the market. In Munich, however, the competitive situation for the French would be complicated. With Leon Goretzka (27), Joshua Kimmich (27), Ryan Gravenberch (20) and Marcel Sabitzer (28), Bayern already have four top-class options in central midfield. In addition, Konrad Laimer (25) should come from RB Leipzig in the summer.
